Add users

These instructions show you how to add or remove additional users to your TYPO3 backend.

Add users

To authorize additional users for your TYPO3 backend, you must have the necessary admin rights. This usually means that you have registered the website or that you have been entered as an admin.

Navigate to User Administration in the TYPO3 side menu.

  1. Select the appropriate web instance.
  2. Click on Add new user.
  1. Search for the person you want using u:account, name, or email address.
  2. Select the person from the list of results.
  1. Specify whether the permission should apply to the entire website or only to certain subpages. The permission will automatically be applied to all subpages as well. Click Save at the bottom of the page. The added person will now appear in the list of editors.

Remove users

  1. Permissions can be adjusted using the pencil icon and revoked using the trash can.
