Accordion element
- General tab: Here you can define the basic text and settings for the element.
- Header: Add a short, meaningful header. This helps visitors to grasp the content more quickly. Under Type, select the correct hierarchy level or Hidden to display the header only in the backend. This helps you find the content element in the backend. Visitors to the website will not see a hidden header.
- Accordion Behaviour: Specify how the expandable areas should behave. The option Open each element separately allows multiple sections to be open at the same time. Collapse other elements causes all other sections to close automatically when a section is opened. This allows you to determine whether users see multiple pieces of content at the same time or focus on one section at a time.
- FAQs (optional): You can mark accordion entries with structured data as “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)”. This marking helps search engines and AI tools to better understand the content and display it as rich snippets in search results.
- Accordion entries: Click on + Set up new to set up a new entry.
- Title: Specify a title for each accordion entry. The hierarchy level of the title cannot be adjusted manually, but is based on the accordion header. The title is automatically displayed in the next lower header level (e.g. header = H2, title = H3).
- Text: Paste the desired content into the text field and use the editor to format it (bold, italics, lists, links, etc.).
- Media: You can add images to each entry in the accordion entry under the Media tab.
- Click on Create new relation. Then navigate to the desired file in the page tree of the file list. Now activate the checkbox for the desired image and click on Import selection to transfer the file to the accordion element.
- If necessary, adjust the position under Layout.
- Optionally, you can set media to be clickable and zoomable.
Define appearance
- Appearance tab: Here you can specify how the content element is displayed.
- Alternative background: Activate the slider to give the content element a light gray background.
- Show links in menus: If you set up a table of contents on the page, the header of the content element will appear in it as a link.
- Add link to top of page: Inserts a “Back to top” link at the end of the element.
Set publication
- Access tab: Here you can control the visibility of the content element on the website.
- Visibility: Activate the slider to show or hide the content element on the website.
- Publication date: Specify when the content element should be published automatically. This is helpful if you want the publication to take place while you are away.
- Expiration date: Enter a date from which the content element will no longer be displayed.
- Access rights for user groups: Determine whether the content element is only visible to registered users.
